LINCOLN, NEBRASKA — It is important to keep a routine and some semblance of normalcy during times of chaos and uncertainty.  Local server Alyssa Smith knows this best, as she explained to us over a recent FaceTime interview.

“For the longest time I had these stools in my kitchen. But they really only functioned as a way to keep my work shirts from getting wrinkled between shifts.” She pulled the phone away and took a massive bite of, what we could tell, was a very messy sandwich. “So I threw the stools to the curb and bought a couple of those gray industrial trash cans instead.”

“This feels more natural. I’ve actually really taken to cooking at home!”
