AUSTIN, TEXAS — “WHEW, I’m really feeling that last one,” area bartender Debbie Kanumba shouted just a little too loud behind the bar. “Quarantine really killed my tolerance.”


It was 9pm, and the team at Postage Bar had just thrown back their 4th staff daiq of the night. A rate that, pre-quarantine, would have been the norm.


“I can’t handle them like I used to either,” added Deb’s barback, who came in hungover this afternoon. “I went out for a few, maybe 6 or 8 beers and shots after work last night, and woke up feeling like garbage. What a bunch of lightweights!”
