SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS — As states move into reopening phases, and we all take a step closer to each other, the growing pains are apparent. Communication is tricky. Humans are resourceful though, and restaurant patrons are quick to find solutions. San Antonio native Derek Jacobson considers himself an expert in solutions. We caught up with him at local restaurant Deep Red.
“Yeah, can I get some Sugar in the Raw and little milk?” Derek said to his server while pulling his mask down to his chin, billowing invisible drops of plague across the room like a fire breathing dragon in a barn after harvest.
He quickly pulled his mask back up to cover his mouth until the food arrived. As a building designed for people to sit next to each other and put things in their mouths, you can’t be too safe.
