PITTSBURGH, PENNSYLVANIA — It’s tough when you allow a romantic relationship into the workplace. Occasionally it goes well, but more often than not we are forced to learn from the mistake. Nobody is more familiar with this than Steel City native and line cook Ethan “Dibs” Cole. We caught up with him in a relationship transitional phase during this afternoon’s service.
“Hey, it’s Alicia, right?” he said quickly to the new server through the pass. “We had a misfire on the burger, you hungry? Here, don’t tell anyone.”
“Dog, I see you over there. You have to talk to Shanice,” sauté said after Alicia left the kitchen.
“I haven’t given her any fries in a week. She has to know it’s over, right?”
