MIAMI BEACH, MIAMI — Part of the allure of the cocktail industry is the creative outlet it affords the enterprising mixologist. That process often includes looking to the past for inspiration. We caught up with local bar manager Dev Boris teaching his bar apprentice this very lesson.
“One of my favorite twists on a classic is this awkward backwards pour thing,” he told her, holding his jigger like Cruella de Vil and pouring it backwards. “See what I did there? With some practice, you’ll start to feel the arthritis in your wrist in a few weeks.”
