DAYTON, OHIO — It’s a volatile time for the hospitality workforce.  Some are still out of work, some have moved on to other industries, the remaining are grasping for whatever they can get.  The consensus is that we will survive, but there certainly is still a rocky road to come. We caught up with local cocktail bartender Alex Morrison on a job interview.

 

“What a stacked resume!  You’ve worked at 19 establishments since 2016.  It says here you were most recently a Bar Manager at this place, but was also a bartender at this other bar at the same time,” the bar owner mentioned. “Can you tell me a bit about that?”

 

“Oh, does that say that? I wouldn’t say is was a manager role per se,” Alex stumbled. “More of a head bartender. I closed and counted the money a lot.”
